Remember, remember…
At Set Free Your Creativity, we’re stepping joyfully into November – a month of remembrance and imagination. We're excited to support artists in care homes as they explore this meaningful season, where celebration and reflection sit side by side.
First comes Guy Fawkes Night on 5th November – a swirl of paper fireworks, whizzing colours and glowing skies, inspiring lively, sparkling artwork. Soon after, on the 11th, we pause for Remembrance Day. Lest we forget, it is a time to honour, reflect, and remember.
This year, we’ve decided to bring both themes together in one inspiring artistic idea – an enchanting blend of fireworks and poppies. Picture vibrant red poppies illuminated by bursts of glittering paint, shimmering across a night sky like fireworks. A painting alive with movement, emotion and meaning – where celebration meets quiet remembrance.
Abbie Cooke, founder of SFYC, couldn’t be more excited about the beautiful creations this will inspire. She says: “Paint a piece for peace — and have fun!”
So this November, whether you’re an artist in a care home or a carer creating in a cosy corner, gather your paints, your sparkles and your imagination. Let’s fill the world with colour, connection and creativity – one painting at a time.
