Our creative programmes enrich daily lives, enhance spaces and improve wellbeing for resisdents and staff.
Inspirational Speakers
Founder Abbie Cooke is a leading professional speaker in the field of Maritime Art. She has inspired care homes, charities and corporations across the UK and even onboard the cruise ship the QE2. She is well known as being Britain's only female ships' figurehead carver with her maritime artwork being displayed in London and Athens.
We collaborate with Britain's leading speakers on creativity! Our speakers engage and inspire to bring the message of creativity, collaboration and celebration!
Associate speakers at SFYC are able to span the UK with their messages of creative celebration.
Customised Creativity
Join the fun despite a disability! At SFYC we cater for the needs of any resident. With two decades of experience working with people of all ages with physical and mental challenges we believe creativity can save the day.
As an interesting case study, we worked with Esmere Gardens to provide activities to multiple residents who are blind. Drawing on familiar 3D shapes and glimpses of light and shade together with strong audio guidance the art class came alive!
Make & Bake
Take time to whisk up even more fun in your Care Home with a series of Cooking infused activities! National Baking Week 2025 ran from the 14th to 20th October and SFYC was excited to ladle out the love with mini cake decorating!
Our deliciously creative activity engaged Aria Care residents in designing their own decorations , mixing the icing sugar colours and applying attractive sprinkle toppings. Yummy!
The activity opened up excited conversation about best bakes and favourite foods. We also explored the crossover between food and art ( Did you know one artist paints portraits on toast!). It was a terrific tea time for reflection and culinary companionship.
And as Abbie Cooke reminds us: “Cooking is a wonderful source of creativity and wellbeing for all!”
